Auction Donation: Lara Willard

Auction Donor: Lara Willard graduated summa cum laude from the University of Northwestern—St. Paul with an interdisciplinary degree in writing, literature, editing, and design. She has been tutoring grammar since 2005, editing fiction and poetry since 2008, and editing comics since 2013.

Donation Item: FIVE OF BIDDER'S CHOICE: FULL PLOT CONSULTATION or FIRST 10 PAGES LINE EDIT

What you'll get if you win:
  • A Full Plot Consultation takes your detailed synopsis and critiques it for content. This is not an edit; it is a way to find plot holes, cut unnecessary scenes, and restructure the plot or reframe the story. (The more detailed your synopsis, the better. I suggest a word count of 5% your manuscript’s total word count. Include paragraph breaks for each new scene. If you have multiple POVs, note those per scene.)

  • A First 10 Pages Line Edit is an intense edit of up to 2,500 words (finish the sentence, but don't exceed 2,510 words). Also known as "voice enhancers." Edits consider genre and content but mostly focus on delivery: style and syntax.

Starting bid: $50

*Please ONLY bid in $1.00 dollar increments (no loose change).

  6. Looks like I've got my top 5! Dylann and Byron, one of you might need to bid $61 since you both bid the same amount.
